Our Mission

The mission of The Black and Gold Project Foundation includes promoting the increased presence of Black and African American students in higher education by creating pathways that can be duplicated and sustained in all institutions where these students have been systematically excluded.

The Black and Gold Project Foundation achieves this goal through political pressure, social outreach, sharing research and data from experts in the field, and by documenting the narratives of Black and African American community members who have studied and worked at majority White universities.

The Black and Gold Project will rely on insights, recommendations, and financial
resources from like-minded partners.

Our Vision

The Black and Gold Project Foundation believes an increased percentage of African American students, faculty, and administration will more accurately represent the community and world, while advancing more opportunities, equity, and success for everyone.

Our Past

Identify and acknowledge problems and inequities of the past. Celebrate and showcase successes of the past and of the present. Learn from these successes and challenges.

Our Present

Advocate for increased inclusion. Advocate for a dramatic increase in enrollment, and for support for students, faculty, and administration. Advocate to support positive outcomes.

Our Future

Foster educational, corporate, and business collaborations to build the future. Identify funding sources, create programs, and endowments to ensure a lasting future. Raise awareness of the value this adds to our collective futures.
